About Something Blue

Meet Kendall

Growing up you would always find me creating, whether it was making art out of things I found around the house, painting, drawing and more! My creativity expanded into the world of photography which lead to graduating in 2021 with a minor in photography and a major in Strategic communication.

When I got married in 2019 I was overwhelmed by the amount of tasks a wedding day entails (I’m sure you're feeling it too!) After all the planning and designing I would do it all over again if I could. My love for weddings has only grown and I feel blessed to have found a passion I can pour my heart into while helping others.

When I first got engaged I did not think I needed a planner for my wedding. When I realized I actually did, Kendall came along and I could not be more grateful. She went above and beyond what I imagined and she helped take so much stress off my plate. She was kind but firm in her instruction for the bridal party and family, she was my go-to girl for everything, she covered any detail I had forgotten about, and she was reliable from the day I hired her to the very end of my wedding day. I truly do not know what I would have done without her.
She is worth every penny, and then some, and I would recommend her to anyone!”

Behind Something Blue

While planning my own personal wedding I had come to the realization that I was on a tight budget, so I spent hours sourcing and creating my own decorations by hand. I have always had a love for creating and it continued to come in handy throughout the process of my siblings and friends weddings! After helping with these weddings my love for it grew even stronger and I thought if I could help others save time and money why shouldn’t I?

Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, something blue, is a rhyme that originated in England during the Victorian Era to symbolize luck for a bride on her wedding day.

I love the elegance and class of the victorian era along with the idea of “Something Blue” being luck for the bride on their wedding day. This is how the name “Something Blue” came to be! We hope we can be your “Something Blue on your big day!
